Mission Statement

Arias Hospice Care Mission is to provide physical, emotional , social and spiritual support to terminally ill patients, their families and their loved ones and to enable the patient to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with issues during and after the final stages of the patient's life.

What is Hospice?

Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments. Hospice care is provided by the team oriented group of specially trained professionals, volunteers and family members.

Hospice Addresses all symptoms of a disease, with a special emphasis on controlling patients' pain and discomfort. Hospice deals with the emotional, social and spiritual impact of the disease on the patient and the patient's family and friends. Hospice offers a variety of bereavement and counseling services to families before and after a patient's death.

We are in need of Volunteers for various aspect of care. If you are licensed to provide services to the patients, you are encouraged to volunteer your expertise. If you don't, you can simply provide services, such as reading books, singing, talking, cooking, or accompanying patient to the back yard......

Who is eligible for Hospice Care?

 Patients must have a life threatening illness certified by the physician and seeks for medical, psychosocial and personal support.
Patient or family (if patient can not do so) must give informed consent.
